Drying-Time Estimator for Brea, CA

A rough idea of how long a water loss takes to dry with professional equipment, based on the material, how wet it is, the weather and the size.

Estimated drying time

3 to 5 days

With air movers and LGR dehumidifiers running around the clock and readings taken daily.

Have the dry-out timed by meter

An estimate only, built from typical losses in local slab homes. The firm number comes from the on-site moisture map and assessment.

How this estimate works

Drying time depends most on the material. Tile gives up water quickly, drywall and framing take longer, and hardwood and bare concrete are the slowest, which is why desiccant dehumidifiers come out for Class 4 materials. Soaked materials and larger areas add days.

Weather matters less than people expect, because the house stays closed and the dehumidifiers control the air, but a run of rainy days slows things down. Equipment leaves when wet materials read within 2 to 4 points of a dry reference, not on a set day. See hardwood floor drying for the slowest case.
